Cad Apostol is an immigrant Filipinx designer who delights in experimenting with light. With a diverse portfolio spanning theatre, dance, architecture, and art installation in collaboration with other fine artists, they strive to find new ways to communicate ideas, expressions, and emotions through light.

They were selected to be a part of the 2023 Lightfair Mentorship program as an emerging professional, sponsored that same year by the Illuminating Engineering Society to attend the 50th Annual Conference in Chicago, and is a 2024 USITT Emerging Creative. Cad also participated in the 2024 Hemsley Portfolio Review in New York.

Cad holds an MFA in Experience Design & Production from California Institute of the Arts (CALARTs) with a specialization in Lighting Design, and a BA in Theatre from California State University, Northridge.
